snap package depends on a very old GNOME package

Hi,

here is the problem:

$ snap connections drawio
Interface                 Plug                    Slot                             Notes
[...]
content[gnome-3-28-1804]  drawio:gnome-3-28-1804  gnome-3-28-1804:gnome-3-28-1804  -

and

$ snap info drawio --verbose 
[...]
base:         core20

Would it be possible for drawio to depend on a more recent core/gnome combination?

Strangely, it does not depend on core24, but on core22:

$ snap info drawio --verbose 
[...]
base:         core22
[...]
installed:          28.2.8            (257) 134MB -

and unfortunately, it still uses gnome-3-28-1804.

core24 didn't run at all, so we had to go back to 22. I'll reopen until we can resolve core24 issues.

Thank you for reopening! I tested both of those versions:

  latest/stable:    28.2.5 2025-10-23 (255) 134MB -                        
  latest/edge:      28.2.8 2025-10-23 (257) 134MB -

and both still depend on gnome-3-28-1804. Will the switch to core24 allow to get rid of gnome-3-28-1804 ?

Yes, but the build doesn't run with core24.
