Larger/resizeable "Edit connection points..." modal

When working with an item where you need to place a lot connection points very precisely, the current modal is very small and the user interactions often don't match the rest of the user experience.

F.I. In the modal, when zoomed in, there is no scrolling (doesn't match). The middle mouse button doesn't let you move the canvas (doesn't match) but you have to right click and drag to move (does match). The zooming can only be done using the modal buttons instead of the usual zoom methods ([ctrl]+scroll, [ctrl]+[+/-])

Mainly, for me, it would be helpful if the modal was larger, or maybe even resizeable. Implementing interaction that matches the main window would just be a bonus.
