As @Guldoman mentioned #916 which is now merged into master should be a good solution for this so closing this issue since it hasn't been responded to so considering it...

Also this PR has unresolved merge conflicts and unnecessary changes.

The PR https://github.com/lite-xl/lite-xl/pull/1115 which was merged should provide the option to set a default scale. Closing this.
