Document which table features are supported in which formats
Now that the new col/rowspan and other fancy table features are getting implemented in some formats, it would be good to have a place where we document which features work in which formats. (A table, maybe?)
Just looking through the git log, I'm seeing this for changes since the last release:
docbook reader:
- table cell alignment #6698
- colspan #6592
latex reader:
- rowspan, colspan #6311
opendocument writer:
- cell alignment #6700
- row/colspan #6682
html writer:
- intermediate table headers #6314
- table footers #6314
- col/rowspans #6312
Is rowspan implemented for docbook to odt or docbook to docx?
After converting asciidoc to docbook and html (with asciidoctor), and the docbook or html to odt or docx using pandoc, I got results like this.
I don't think row/colspans are supported yet for docbook.
It seems there is a bug in the ODT renderer; perhaps that should be reported in a separate issue with a clean MWE.
Better to have separate issues for these (since this issue is technically just about documentation).

I discovered that the rowspan in odt or docx (converted from html) displays correctly in LibreOffice Writer and incorrectly in OnlyOffice or Calligra so this doesn't appear to be a pandoc issue.

I've opened a new issue (https://github.com/jgm/pandoc/issues/10918) and included the example that I previously posted as a comment here in https://github.com/jgm/pandoc/issues/6701
