Add ESP-NOW connection between devices

Open jgauchia opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Summary

Possibility of linking two or more devices via ESP-NOW, and sharing information. For example, a master device that includes GPS and another device that displays the information on a screen, maps, etc... The idea is to have a device collecting information related to GPS and/or sensors and another to display the information. It could be applied to smaller screens such as round screens, more portable devices, etc...

Brainstorming is welcome

I don't know.

For instance , any board with serial GPS works

@jgauchia Think about the case that we have 2 (or more) devices (people that hiking or cars offroad) and sharing their location and everyone can see the location of other users on map (like ATAK for LoRa)

It’s an option . In my case, I’ve considered it as a long-term improvement that I wanted to use with ESP-NOW and other boards (round, smaller ones, etc.) to send certain values or information from the main device. But yes, it could definitely be used to share information between several devices linked through an ESP-NOW network.
