Apple USB Keyboard stops working

Using an Apple USB wired keyboard with single pico interface, fails after a short amount of time. Unplugging KB from pico and re-plugging gets it going again but only for a few seconds.

Is it the Apple Magic Keyboard A1843? That one doesn't work at all for me :( There's already an issue, but it's been closed without comment. I tried investigating with a USB analyser, but can just confirm that it's an issue with enumeration. Changing the packets to be the same didn't fix it.
