Pop-up HUD menu
Can you update the extension please so that a streamlined version is available in the pop-up HUD, I say streamlined only because all the extra bumph bloats the UI when all that's really needed is the "Tags" and "Comments" fields and that the new (as of Safari 5 in OS X Lion) pop-up Download menu would be brilliant for this!
I know work hasn't moved much since 2010 but it's the only extension available, sure it still works but even the del.icio.us guys haven't got an extension out for it yet!
I think I may take up work writing my own extension sometime in the next month so we'll see. jeveaux has yet to build and push the latest changes as of 5 months ago so I'm assuming this project is dead.
Shame I know, I was in contact with the new team about releasing a Safari extension themselves, officially, but they had been busy laying groundwork from the transition from Yahoo. However they said, about a month back now, that they would consider devoting resources to a Safari extension.
However, two is better than one and it could do with an update. If you're up for suggestions I'd like to request that the same drop down menu as used by the new Downloads pane be used and that there be all kinds of options to streamline the whole UI, all I care about is the Tags, Comments box and Privacy setting check-box, the rest del.icio.us (as we originals like to fondly refer to the service as) they can keep.
Nice talking, let me know if you want any beta testing.
Regards.

Right now I'm debating using the current Delicious save screen in a popover or implementing my own interface.
I hate the del.icio.us new window, Safari's supposed to be refined you have to admit, they do have some swish UI tools..

Problem is popovers are written in HTML and CSS not cocoa. so UI would take extra work.
I thought the UI stuff of Safari (like the download window) would be Cocoa, really. Well, it's your choice, but personal, I'd prefer something streamlined and in keeping with the UI. The current extension does work, in the traditional way, it might be nice to differentiate yourself from the usual design, something totally paired down or customisable, at worst I think it would prompt the official release to take note.
Thanks.
