The first thing to do is to pick some issues and submit some patches for a 
committer to apply. Doing this a few times ensures some karma that can be used 
for promotion to committerhood.

Sorry for the extremely delayed response - just discovered that the emails from 
the i-jetty issue tracker have been going astray for some time. Hopefully that 
is fixed now.
