custom commits icons
Description
In config documentation no description how to change commit graph icons. My font display those symbols bad and I want to change it.
I think this is bug, because it's expected behavior.
Are you perhaps using a version of NerdFont downloaded/patched from a while ago? Nerdfont released a new major version since, which deprecated a number of old glyph points and would cause them to look weird in apps that have adopted the new version, so your options might include (assuming that was the issue):
- in your
config.yml, modifygit.nerdFontsVersionto"2"instead - Download latest version of font or repatch.
- I think you want say
gui.nerdFontsVersion - It don't change icons in this section.
- My font is up to date.
Oops, I did indeed! If that wasn't the issue then I've no idea.
i have the same issue
latest nerd fonts symbols only
main font is jetbrains mono
issue persists in ghostty and alacritty and also with patched jetbrains
~ > printf '%x' \'â£
23e3â
the code show from the lazygit merge icon doesnt seem to exist in nerd fonts, so maybe we are missing some other font that have proper icons. it would be nice if someone with proper icons run the command below to verify
~ > fc-list ':charset=23e3'
/usr/share/fonts/google-noto/NotoSansMath-Regular.ttf: Noto Sans Math:style=Regular
/usr/share/fonts/google-noto-vf/NotoSansSymbols[wght].ttf: Noto Sans Symbols:style=Regular
/usr/share/fonts/stix-fonts/STIXTwoMath-Regular.otf: STIX,STIX Two Math:style=Regular
/usr/share/fonts/google-noto-vf/NotoSansSymbols[wght].ttf: Noto Sans Symbols
/usr/share/fonts/google-noto-vf/NotoSansSymbols[wght].ttf: Noto Sans Symbols:style=Medium
/usr/share/fonts/google-noto-vf/NotoSansSymbols[wght].ttf: Noto Sans Symbols:style=SemiBold
/usr/share/fonts/google-noto-vf/NotoSansSymbols[wght].ttf: Noto Sans Symbols:style=Bold
/usr/share/fonts/gdouros-symbola/Symbola.ttf: Symbola:style=Regular
i have the same issue
Which issue? Your screenshot looks about right to me. Or are you talking about the fact that the merge icon is displaced a few pixels to the right?
displacement is certainly not good, but I guess those should have been proper git related icons, if not and they are exactly correct, then the issue op opened is even more relevant, it would awesome to change those
