Jittering and laggy scrolling in the latest version

Open rRobis opened this issue 10 months ago • 3 comments

After updating to the new version of Lazygit, i noticed that the commit scrolling and code preview scrolling is very jittery and slow. Also when naming commits the block cursor is flashing weirdly after each keypress.

When i try same with lower version, it's smooth as butter.

I'm on Windows 10 latest updates. Tried to use it running through Neovim and Windows terminal, same problem.

I noticed, that if i make the terminal window much smaller, so that i don't see full commit names, then these problems almost fully go away (scrolls fast and the typing is also not jittery).

But this is not a solution that is acceptable.

The scrolling behavior in the recent releases has been problematic for me. For instance, if the list of items in files is fairly large, the view often jumps back to the start when scrolling, making it difficult to navigate smoothly.

I'm seeing the same problem on debian. About the cursor flashing, I think it's the same issue that is filed in #3434 EDIT: I only get this jittering inside a tmux session, things work fine outside of it (see my comment on the linked issue)
