It would be super brilliant to get rid of STEREO as default values for all audio layouts, setting everything to 16ch/passthrough. 2.2 or even 2.1? I can't see any reason...

What would the difference between these hooks and AMCP/OSC be? Anything these hooks can do that we can't add to the existing protocols - or new more modern and better...

It all boils down to how the proposed hooks will differ from things exposed over AMCP/OSC. Looking forward to seeing examples!

The contributions to the CEF producer from @hreinnbeck https://github.com/nrkno/tv-automation-casparcg-server/pull/14 will allow for html templates to act as controllers, hence provide a JS scripting layer.

Combos are normally (natively in OSes) triggered once on key down, aren't they?
