Issue with play and pause

On iPhone, if we press to pause the sound in app then press the home button, wait for few minutes later on and comeback to the app, I noticed that the icon changed from pause to play but the sound actually not be played. I double tap to it to make it pause and play again so the sound can be play. Also, is there anything way to change the duration in the AVPlayer mode to become the desc? Thanks
