Digging Up Ice Freezes Game

I decided to start a new game today with the update from the in-game repository. Trying to build up an early source of water, I started digging ice out of the ocean. I haven't fully explored this bug, but I suspect it has something to do with adding ice to an already full stack.

I should note that when this bug activates, it is the background that becomes unresponsive. The player is still free to move around and open inventory, just not interact with anything I imagine would be part of the server.

I'm unable to reproduce this, I filled up my inventory with ice dug from the sea and nothing unusual happened. Did you update to v0.3.8a? If you type /mods, is "betterfall" still listed among them? Because that mod was in v0.3.8 and caused cpu choking on some systems.
