Terminal Plus is not working on Ubuntu 16.04

Hello, I am using Ubuntu 16.04. I recently installed atom and terminal plus package for Atom. atom is working fine. But terminal plus is not working on my system. I am getting the only UI of the terminal and nothing is working over there. I use Lenovo z51-70 pc. running on Ubuntu 16.04. kernel version 4.4.0 @ @ @

I'm not even getting the UI here, console is showing:

Failed to require the main module of 'terminal-plus' because it requires one or more incompatible native modules (pty.js, pty.js, pty.js, pty.js, pty.js, pty.js). Run apm rebuild in the package directory and restart Atom to resolve.

node-gyp is installed and python path is set. attempted clean install and rebuild as suggested by the console message.

G'day mates. Terminal plus isn't being maintained any more. There are two supported forks that I'm aware of: Termination (my fork) and platformio-atom-ide-terminal.

Same on Ubuntu 18.10. Platformio-atom-ide-terminal works fine.
