I'm not sure if/how complicated it is to implement, but only adding the text for a one word description if the window is wide enough sounds reasonable to me.

I think tackling this in multiple steps is perfectly reasonable. That is, adding the one word text now and adjusting as needed in the future for mobile.

A button for requesting help should not require an onboarding step to understand.
