It would be nice to have a feature that allows you to start a new mail without References: headers and similar but still to the same mailing list that you are currently browsing. The To: field should be pre-filled and an option to include the text or not from the current mail should be available.

After thinking about that ticket I feel that it could be at least partly fulfilled. Currently you can already create a new mail in a mailing list folder with the To: prefilled already by simply using the folder config. Then when you are in the folder and you use the "NEW" Toolbar item it will create an apropriate write window.

However, as this requests also wants to have the reply feature similarly, we would probably need a "Reply as new thread" or similar feature in YAM which does a normal Reply job but omits the References: headers creating a completly new mail with the To: pointing at the ML and having the references striped so that a new mailing list thread is started. In addition, such a reply as new thread should also modify the subject header to somehow make clear that this is not an accident thread hijacking but a wanted action.
