Hi @jens-a-e, My fork was really a place to start thinking the way this can be achieved. I hope your code will be a good place to start because I have not deal with ObjectiveC++ yet. When I have time I will try if I can do something useful, and bring force touch to openFrameworks.

I like the idea to incorporate this into your addon for giving it the ability to completely interfere with newest trackpads, but my work is in really early stage...

No hurry :smiley: there is no rush. This PR could be a good way to see, how it can be done.
