Preliminary support now exists for [`fabric-rendering-data-attachment-v1`](https://github.com/CaffeineMC/sodium-fabric/commit/7d5321b01c2135ec03377d2a0a5bb2d1bb1272bb) and [`fabric-rendering-fluids-v1`](https://github.com/CaffeineMC/sodium-fabric/commit/5444aeb25ed2fabd151587d8b2433a3d3a7e869b) in the 1.17.x/dev branch. This is not complete support for what people refer to as "FRAPI", but it's non-zero.

Sodium 0.3 is now released and contains support for the aforementioned features.

There is now experimental support for block rendering using FRAPI with https://github.com/CaffeineMC/sodium-fabric/commit/22d50ca4d2325099aacb803f08833763e121b9cf.
