There are a few edge cases that we'll need to keep track of.

  1. Vector images PDFs that come from arxiv are often built from source latex, which often include PDF images in them that have vector graphics and therefore dont always come out correctly. (example).

  2. Backgrounds Some images don't correctly get the background of the PNG.
