Jellyfin plays the wrong audio track.

When I select the audio track either before or during playback, instead of playing the track I selected Jellyfin plays another one instead.

The provided example video shows when I select English Dolby Digital, I get the director commentary, after selecting the director commentary, I get no sound for some reason.

LG C1 WebOS 6.0 03.33.11 Jellyfin 10.8.1

Jellyfin Web 10.8.0 - (With skip intro plugin) \ The issue was present without the plugin too.

Are You sure that this is a webOS only problem. Does selecting the audio track from the web interface result in the same result. A lot of my media has multiple audio tracks and they work as expected.

Most likely the audio tracks are mislabeled, Try playing the file with VLC and see if you get the same result.

I don't think that's the problem. When selected the correct audio track gets played in VLC, the same is true for Jellyfin Media Player. I unfortunately can't test the WebUI, it requires transcoding to play in a browser. Screenshot from 2022-06-29 09-03-27

Hmm..

Try playing with the default track selected and then try switching after playback starts

Tried it just now, the default track plays correctly, then selecting Dolby Digital English during playback still plays the commentary.

However I've found that selecting the commentary track before playing results in the Dolby Digital English track playing. Selecting it during playback appears to not work. Might be related, might be a different issue.

I think this is related to a stream index issue we're working on. I'll see if I can link relevant issues.

Any updates on this? It's not a huge issue but playing lottery with the audio tracks to find my language is a bit inconvenient.

this is just like me a problem with the TrueHD soundtrack. it just doesn't count as if it wasn't there. On My Mac Air ist everything ok.

I'm having the exact same issue on an LG OLED55C26LD with some South Park rips: the normal English track plays as the commentary track, while the commentary track is completely silent.
