Missing controls next episode

Just installed the 1.0.0 ipk form the release from testing issue.

I have the following problem:

  1. Start serie
  2. The serie ends and the next episode pops up.
  3. I click on play next episode
  4. The controls for playing / next etc. are missing. Only the top screen is showing with the back and title information.
  5. DoubleClick with the scroll wheel will pause the video but then i have to restart the tv to exit the app.

This problem does not occur when I’m not clicking on next episode but wait till the episode starts automatically.

For me (on WebOS 5.2.3-252105) the UI shows, but clicks register behind the menu and this can cause the user to skip back a few minutes for example. Jellyfin server: 10.7.7 docker Jellyfin webos: 1.0.0

I am having the same issue 90% of the time. There's also no option to disable it all together. The option "Show next video info during playback" is missing (it's of course there in the web version, but turning it off from a browser on another device doesn't make the setting apply on my LG tv).

I have this issue too, it seems that the focus is on the play/rewind/forward control instead of the menu so we can't hide or skip the end. Either with arrow on remote or with pointing the button. The pop-up hide the subtitle so with some media it make difficult to understand last 30 seconds.

It's all the same on WebOS 22 / Server Version 10.8.4 :crying_cat_face:

In the latest server and client version there is the option in the settings to disable the next episode pop up 🎉.

For me this is a good "workaround" until it's fixed. If you watch anything subtitled that goes into the last 30 seconds of the video, I'd recommend turning the next episode popup controls off for now.
