Anime containing an ampersand are identified as Cowboy Bebop
Every anime containing an ampersand is identified as Cowboy Bebop instead of being correctly identified or being treated as unknown. I assume this must stem from an assumption that folders cannot/won't contain the ampersand character (&). At least from my perspective, this looks like a problem with missing escaping.
This problem happens on Debian Bullseye with the latest Jellyfin. The files are located on a Samba server mounted as a CIFS file system.
Edit: The # character seems to cause the same problem.
can confirm, i'm experiencing the same issue
Likewise, I just realized this might be the cause of the issue
Examples I can give for shows with this issue are "Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt" and "Pokémon XY&Z"
Yup, same here.
Sweetness & Lightning keeps being kinda identified as Cowboy Bebop.
The weird thing is that the description and images are shown correctly.
It doesn't matter if I put the correct AniDB id when identifying it, it still shows as Cowboy Bebop.
Only after I renamed the parent folder from "Sweetness & Lightning" to "Sweetness and Lightning" it was identified correctly.
This has been going on for so hellishly long... rather disappointing that its still not fixed..
jellyfin is lacking developers
