Unable to access server running Jellyfin 10.8.0 (stable, upgraded from 10.7.7) without wiping app data

Describe the bug

  1. Have app logged in on server version 10.7.7
  2. Upgrade server to 10.8.0 stable
  3. Open app
  4. App is stuck on Jellyfin logo screen, no errors

Issue is present on both F-Droid and proprietary builds. #480 looks very relevant, but that's supposed to be already fixed for both builds.

After wiping app data, I was able to log in without issues.

Same issue for me, upgrading today from 10.7.7 to 10.8.3. Solved also by reinstalling apps on Android phones and Android TV. Many thanks for the solution!

It's not impossible that the app still caches some old JavaScript files breaking the load. Clearing the app's cache should usually suffice but fully clearing the data gives a clean base to start from.
