Would love to be able to sync/download video for offline viewing.
Just to add, it would be great if the downloaded videos are playable inside jellyfin itself and shows some kind of downward arrow symbol indicating it is already downloaded.
When I tackle something big next (probably Summer 2022), this will be my focus.
FWIW, Finamp does a pretty good job of this for music (it has an “offline mode” toggle, which will filter content to only that which has been downloaded).
It would be great to have auto-download feature to automatically download latest episodes of tv show. The same is implemented in plex 
@LePips Would be really nice to have this implemented that's one thing that keeps some still stuck to use plex
Would still love this feature. Any timeline or updates on its implementation? It's literally the only reason I still use Plex.
it would be nice to be able to download the content at a lower resolution using jellyfin's transcode functionality.
for example downscaling 4k content to 480p or 720p on mobile. this would save on storage space and make the content download faster
+1 for this. Been using infuse, but it's first of all propietary and requires a subscription to view all video and audio formats.
+1 being able to download something for offline viewing would be really really usefull :D
@LePips what’s the roadmap on this and what has been implemented so far? It looks like there needs to be an offline mode?
It doesn't look like this will be added any time soon. Let us know how we can support this feature with funding or development help so we can get this feature added. It is a make-or-break feature for many people migrating from other systems. Thanks.
