Problem load firmware and nothing goes on
Hello, I load the 6 Files that was in the download. After reboot I get this Screen and nothing goes on. What die I wrong? Thank you
Thomas
Took me a while to get mine running with the latest SW.
Here are my steps and some hints:
- using Linux does not work for me (file-copy and so on works, but for example when uploading the logo I noticed the copying does not fully work)
- I used a Windows 10 via VirtualBox
- you need to restart the device every time you copied the .bin file, and you have to check that it's extension changed to .RDY
- I tried the 6 files (app_a .. app_c / .adr / .bin) from MotoMaxis - that didn't work at first
- then I copied the files from his backup (RECOVERY281282.zip)
- first the Unlock (copying .adr first, then checking for a .RDY file, then copying the .BIN and checking for the .USE)
- restart into DFU after each .BIN copy
- upload Sys, App (which failed for me), FPGA and Logo
- at this point, logo already looked good
- now I copied the 6 app files again, restarting info DFU after every .bin copy
- rebooted into normal startup, system complained about missing Sys
- uploaded Sys again
- uploaded 6- App files again (not sure if this is necessary)
- played with the new firmware for about 3 hours...
erazor83, thank you a lot! I spent almost two days trying to install different firmwares. The one you adviced also. I found few combinations of sys/apps/... that also launch (one app is from here, another is looks the same with wildcat, but was taken from manufacturer website), but with both on the load screen was written "fpga configuration error" and actually the oscillator didn't do any measurements. Doing everyting by instructions from here I always got error "image shell.elf not found". All it I tried under Windows 10 x64.
And only when I did everithyng by your instruction and under Linux Desktop (vmware), oscillator started working. Few tips from my experience:
- "you need to restart the device every time you copied the .bin file" - something that I did not do before
- "first the Unlock" - I used "UNLOCK.ADR" and "UNLOCK.BIN" from the directory
- "copying .adr first, then checking for a .RDY file" - in my case, .ADR file become .SET and only after copying .BIN it become .RDY while .BIN become .USE
- "App (which failed for me)" - for me it also failed (.ERR) but I didn't reinstall it later, it works anyway
- "now I copied the 6 app files again" - files are from here, (_a, _b, _c) - 3 .ADR and 3 .BIN
- "rebooted into normal startup, system complained about missing Sys" - in my case, after rebooting everything works. I did't do next steps.

Hope this will help somebody.
A little details about combinations, that starts BUT DO NOT WORK in my case:
- 'GAB_N1.hex'(461kb)
- 'FPGA_281.ADR'(1kb) + '281_FPGA.bin'(132kb) + 'SYS_B134.hex'(49kb) + 'APP_B230.hex'(69kb)
- 'DS203.Unlock.V0.21.hex'(42kb) + 'FPGA_281.ADR'(1kb) + '281_FPGA.bin'(132kb) + ('SYS_B134.hex'(49kb) OR 'SYS_B164.hex'(57kb)) + ('APP_B230.hex'(69kb) OR 'APP_B253.hex'(122kb))
Is the issue fixed, with the 0V offset error? I have it with 6.4 and others have it with 6.5 i think it was.
