"As a System desinger, I would like to specify the order of elements in a list separately from how they appear in a form"

things to do:

  • [x] add an alternative to ele_order ( ele_list_order) for how elements appear in lists
  • [x] make the function that initializes ele_list_order
  • [x] modify the code so that it uses ele_list_order when elements are appearing in lists
  • [x] add/modify accordian so user can reorder how elements appear in lists (ele_list_order)
  • [x] save the new order
  • [x] make everything pretty

Setting form and list screen order does work... both set to different orders, and both screens had the correct order.

ui-elements-accordion was removed since multiple ui-accordions can now be used.

new things to add:

  • [x] set form index to initialize data for ele_list_display
  • [x] modify form_elements_sections.html so it looks different for form elements and list elements
  • [x] modify elements.php so it gathers ele_list_display data as well
  • [x] saving ele_list_display

Took me a while to spot the different way it displays for form and list views. There was an error message about the database, but I'm not sure if that was due to my database because I've tested a bunch of different branches. The message was, "Unknown column 'ele_list_display' in 'field list'," so I'm not sure if the database update check detects that column or not. Other than that, it all worked smoothly and the code looks good.

When did the error message appear and how did you make it go away? It seems like the error appeared because the the ele_list_display column was not initialized in the formulize table. Do you have that column in your table now?

I did not have that column when the error occurred, then I updated the database by going to the appropriate page, and after that no error. The automatic database update check was not triggered, and perhaps that's because I applied database updates out of order, and the latest change is in my database.
