The bluetooth headphone controls do not work on Mac OS

Open erdalgunes opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Describe the bug I have multiple bluetooth headphones and I realized that the Sonixd app does not process the play/pause controls from the headphone.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open the app on Mac OS
  2. Connect a pair of bluetooth headphones with play/pause media controls
  3. Play a song from the app
  4. Use the pause media controls from the headphones
  5. Observe the song continues playing

Expected behavior Song should pause

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Mac OS
  • Version 11.6

Additional context I have enabled Sonixd from the Security & Privacy's Accessibility section. The media controls on the keyboard work perfectly but I have problems on the bluetooth headphone media controls.

Unfortunately I don't have a macOS device to test this. Maybe someone else has run into this issue and has a solution?

I have confirmed this on macOS 12.4 (arm64 Apple Silicon). If no other app is bound to the bluetooth media controls then Apple Music will launch.

I believe this is an issue with Electron. I tested using this Electron Fiddle and found that the bluetooth media control events are not detected at all. I submitted an issue with electron.
