Make more welcoming homepage

Hi @frankykubo, I don't think @mngagan is working on this, as I haven't heard from him in a while. Feel free to start; if he is working on it, we'll have to decide which implementation to use. Or you could wait until we hear from @mngagan to ensure he is not still working on it. @mngagan, did you start and are working on this?

I'd like to hear both of your ideas for how to make the page more welcoming.

hi, I'm glad you raised this - the tool is really nice and you're right, the home page isn't very welcoming. How about adding a mockup of the UI once you've granted auth, and a brief explanation of why the authorisation is required? Happy to have a go at this as seems to have gone quiet?

Just something simple that explains why you need to authorize your account with GitHub. Maybe have it say something like "To prevent API abuse, you will need to authorize with your GitHub account."
