Does not recognize sym-links in the ~/Videos/Hidamari folder

Open sampsonr opened this issue 9 months ago • 5 comments

Rather than moving/copying my videos, I made sym-links (ln -s) to them in the ~/Videos/Hidamari directory. Despite that, they do not show up in the Hidamari's 'Local Video' list. If I open the file dialog from there, they are visible.

Have you tried a hard link?

a hard link would not work since the files live in a different filesystem.

i wonder if you could link a folder to the location (ie, replace the folder), rather than linking individual files

That worked. Thanks.

Nonetheless, the application should probably respect the filesystem's normal features.
