i got it working by editing the metadata.json in hanabi's files.

until now, no issues.

I had also made Hanabi Working on Gnome 48 by editing metadata.json. BUT #163 still exist on 48, too.

Hanabi is still not even upgraded to 47. Is the project still continuing developing?

@AngelSherry @aamaanaa The workaround for the nautilus issue has been pushed. Please try the latest master.

Thanks for the concern about the development status. Recent efforts will be more focused on hotaru, it will be the backend of Hanabi Extension in the future. The aim is to, provide easier installation through Flatpak, webpage live wallpaper support, better multi monitor support. 😉

I feel there has been a constant migration from project to project here:

Hidamari abandoned for Hanabi Hanabi abandoned for Hotaru? Hotaru... not even really useable from the Readme as a WIP and hasn't seen development for months either.

I appreciate the dev's work on these, I really do, but abandonware with bugs making them unusable for people on current gnome versions leaves the need to search for a totally different alternative short of forking.

I'm having an issue here - I use Fedora Workstation (GNOME 48.2, Wayland), but anytime I turn on the extention my wallpaper goes black even tho I have the video added inside extention. I've tried to edit metadata.json like some people here, but it didn't resolve my problem. Can anyone help me resolve this issue? Thanks a lot.
