Add time delay to initial contact of derbynet server. This prevents XMESSAGE message flood in the event the host is not yet reachable. The change is beneficial during initial setup when the host may not be available.

Maybe this could be conditioned to wait only after an unsuccessful curl?

I'll add some logic to it to pause before retry only on fail. This was my quick fix to keep the rpi from almost locking up due to the xmessage prompts.

As is there are multiple windows that open before the retry period expires.
