Not overly useful information. You can look in eventviewer apps and look for fs2ff crash reports. Also would help if you provided what you were doing. Astenlund isn't actively working...

try the version of fs2ff.exe from here: https://github.com/jeffdamp-wave/fs2ff I just pulled in the latest SimConnect etc. See if you can repro again. There shouldn't be any incompatibility with PilotEdge.

You can get the dll from the msfs2020 sdk.
