Hello! Would it be possible to define via settings custom background color (for tabs and panes) ?

wdanilo,

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, at this time, this is not an intended feature. I will, however, look into it, but it might not be in the immediate future. I'll keep this ticket open, and when I do add such feature, I'll let you know in this ticket.

Thank you!

Hello @wdanilo,

I appreciate your feedback and following for this theme. However, I've decided to take your feedback, along with the suggestions of others, and focus my energy on creating a new theme that will embody the best parts about Genesis, along with enhanced customization that addresses this issue.

Perhaps once I've come closer to its release (hopefully within the month), I'll backtrack on the Genesis theme and consider how I can carry over the customization of the new theme over to this theme.

I hope this doesn't disappoint you, but I do hope you keep an eye out for the next theme coming out because it certainly will address many of the tickets you've submitted—and again, when that theme has released, I don't see any issue in backtracking and seeing what I can carry over.

I'm definitively waiting for the theme! Do you have any more concrete plans when it will be available? (after this theme, which started to be my default one - and I'm a fussy person when it comes to theme apperance - I just want your next theme as soon as possible! :) )

@wdanilo Just wanted to inform you that my new theme is finally published. Sorry it took so much longer then I led on. Been super busy! You can find it at the following links:

@jmcalaway Thank you for the info! To be honest with you, my experience with climate-ui is NOT a good one so far, while I love the Genesis theme. The climate-ui has a lot of white color mixed with dark style, which just burns my eyes - for example the code filling pop-up! The tabs are huge and there and there is no easy way to just make them small and always gray. Animations are everywhere and they are just disraction for me. Moreover, the performance of it is a real pain for me - when I hover over the sidebar, the dimming takes long time and it is not smooth, while your old theme works perfectly smooth (I've got a strong machine here - 3ghz xeon, quadro, gentoo lnx). The trully great thing is the "true" distraction free sidebar - would it be possible to just move it to separate plugin to work with other themes?.
