Can't use codepainter as a lib

I'm trying to integrate codepainter into sequelize-cli but when I try to use codepainter.Transform and a readable stream or codepainter.xform and a path string instead of calling the callback with anything the transformed contents get dumped to process.stdout and then immediately exits.
