Can't connect to TeamViewer

Seems to be peculiar to later (v5.x+) Linux kernel builds. TeamViewer clients get stuck at Connecting...:

As to why I'm not using VNC or xRDP: VNC is a PITA to set up for something that can connect to only 1 display at a time. xRDP does not support simultaneous local and remote login for the same account, and the workarounds don't work.

In short, FLOSS remote desktop solutions on Linux are a shitshow.
