[BUG and REQUEST] The page with the watched videos is not updated and new history search

Open VuzzyM opened this issue 4 years ago • 13 comments

Please Fix. The page with the watched videos is not updated, in the video I show you how in another add-on the pages work correctly.

The search history does not work correctly, for example for TV when I go back from the remote control it takes me to the main page kodi, in the video I will show an example how in another add-on it works correctly saving the history.

Please do the same history as in the video addon.

edit: Removed link to banned content

@Lontron Thanks for the feedback, links to banned content were removed but I will keep this issue open since it's a known issue. The search related issues are known, and will be looked into again.

In the future, please no content that's banned on the forum as they are also banned here. Also no need for the bold text, of course if it's a bug or issue I'd like to fix it.

Well, I can't present a video with the bug? edit: video removed, shows banned add-on - Bug presentation

The video was still part of the edit history of the original post, so it was still available if I did need it. But again, this is a known issue. I don't wish to showcase a banned add-on whether it be a link or as part of a video regardless the intention.

I wanted to show an example of how it works correctly in another addon. Thanks for the reply

@anxdpanic I recommend watching the video.

I did. I understood the intention of the issue and that it's unrelated to the banned add-on. That's why the issue remains open.

https://github.com/jdf76/plugin.video.youtube/releases/tag/6.x.x-dev and the repositories should have the beta1 version, which has search improved.

@anxdpanic The search goes ok, but it's a problem when you don't want to write anything and go out, the circle is always loading indefinitely, check that.

And the problem with the viewed videos doesn't work properly, as I showed in the video.

@anxdpanic search is working correctly now. Watched is work, it's a problem, in the video on YouTube I showed this problem, for example when you go to the next page and back, the tick don't show anymore.

I've added #866 for the remaining issue. There is a solution included, the add-on will slow down a bit with the solution in place, how much will depend on your device etc.

anxdpanic avatar Aug 31 '20 18:08 anxdpanic

@anxdpanic Well, will there be an update for that?

VuzzyM avatar Aug 31 '20 18:08 VuzzyM

I don't know at this point, it's a large benefit to a lot of people. I would like to explore if it's possible to fix of course. The new issue is just any easier way to separate out the remaining issue. I may set it to off for the unofficial versions as well.
