youtube without login and API
Hi. Is it possible use youtube addon without login or API use? When I trying to search on youtube addon v.6.7.0~beta1 I got message with API requirement.
The add-on requires API keys for everything except playback. Login is only required for some functions.
and this restriction is new from google? because I didn't need any API or login before.

thats the reason, i use the NewPipe app on android
perhabs its possible to go the NewPipe way and use their extractor
I understand the latest version of this plugin should support the search function without API keys, right? I mean, for playing a Youtube video, I have to find it first. I know playback is supported, but what about search?
@vanfanel Search is actually the most expensive API request. To use playback without API keys you'll either use strm files, playlists or share videos using kore/yatse/web extensions.
Now the addon refuses to work at all without the API key, and adding it is needlessly complicated by google and the guide is already outdated because google keeps changing stuff. The addon should not require a login or an api key, and the login functionality shouldnt be done on api keys

I hope there is a solution in the future. As things are, I am not using Youtube on KODI anymore. Using NewPipe on Android I can have working search and playback, with an opensource program that does not show stinky adverts (I dont mind how google gets money, not my problem and I can't say I like google at all), so I don't see why this plugin can't do the same that NewPipe does. Well, for me thi plugin is totally broken now, and has been for months. I am not doing the keys stuff, it's just SO annoying.
If only NewPipe could be ported to KODI somehow...
Yea, on android. But i would be nice to have a working solution on PC outside of a browser (waaaay over engineered for simple video playback and video selection and more wasteful on resources)
