we're not able to play any higher quality dash for that example atm

Another example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZPCUmTzV5Y This time it's my video. On PC it works automatically in 1080p. In Kodi only 720p and only when I choose the quality manually.

PS. When I turned off mpeg-dash the video was playing in 720p.

The new version (6.7.0) is even worse because this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMdpnQKz3t4 it worked at 1080p (in 6.6.0), but now it's only 360p or something similar. And the max quality you can choose is 720p.

I have the same problem. I'm not able to use Dash at all. Video freeze after 20-30s, even at 720p or 480p. Without Dash, everything plays ok, but at low quality 360p. Some day ago, i think with alpha build i was able to play 4k videos with dash. Not all the time, but still... with this build is worse. I have Vero 4k with OSMC.

@angelitto2005 Any change you're seeing is not add-on related. 4K from YouTube comes in VP9 which has poor performance on many devices and many factors vary from video to video. Try 1080p30 instead of 4k, if it plays and smooth it's likely due to VP9 performance, and you'll have also confirmed if mpeg-dash is working properly or not. A complete debug log might shed some more light on it though.

@anxdpanic What about my problem? Why do most YT videos work at 1080p and those of small channels work at 360p? And why can't I choose 1080p manually? Is it YT fault or this plugin?

@drrak For some videos inputstream adapative/kodi is unable to play certain streams. The videos you shared are included in those videos. I cannot fix that issue atm, but hopefully we'll see it resolved in the future.
