The problem

The integration stopped providing the service needed for the automation, and when I removed the integration to reconfigure it, it hangs initializing the assistant for its configuration and never finishes.

What version of Auto Backup has the issue?

1.4.1

What version of Home Assistant are you running?

2024.2.1

What type of installation are you running?

Home Assistant Core

If you're running HA OS/Supervised, what version of the Supervisor are you running?

Same. I have setup mine to backup every night at 3am. Every night at 3:03am Home Assistant crashes. :-(

Some days ago I tried to add the integration again and for some reason it worked, the service is back again and works.

@ifilgud How do you "add the integration"? I redownloaded through HACS, but that did not make a difference. I can make a backup manually by running my automation, but at night it makes HA crash.

The first time it failed after updating (the error was that the auto backup service was not found when running the backup automation), I tried to remove the integration and download again via HACS, like you, but it wasn't capable of installing it. I tried the same a couple of days ago and the integration installed sucessfully and now my backup automation works as before. My HA never crashed
