js plugin IDE is not accessible
Hi, if I open a js plugin and navigate to the edit button (one shift tab from the add button) and simulate a left mouse click it launches the js plug in IDE. From snooping around with NVDA object nav I think there are two main windows. One is the code window and the other is a variable watch list. There is no NVDA feedback as you would expect for a normal editor like notepad.
Could the edit window and watch window, plus whatever else is provided by the IDE, be made announceable by screen reader so code can be created and updated and the code stepped through and variables watched to help with debugging?
Might of course be more a Cockus thing.
I'll ask Cockos. I've had a quick poke around the window and if it can't be improved natively, I reckon we might be able to annotate a few things to make it more usable, but that would be Windows-only, so let's try asking for native improvements first.
Great, yes please. Justin might see it coming as he replied to a thread I’d posted on the forum about difficulty of debugging.

Just gonna jump in here to say the code editor is also completely invisible on Mac as well, though VoiceOver can access the variable watchlist both when editing a JS effect or ReaScript.
I would imagine that code editor is a more custom control since it also supports things like syntax highlighting and autocomplete.

Thanks for the heads up Piotr, I didn't know that was the situation with VoiceOver. Talking to Justin about this now, will report back when I know something.
Hi, have you had any feedback from Cockus on making the js editor and associated windows more visible to screen readers?
Best, Chris
