xbanish stops hiding mouse after change in screen geometry (xrandr)

Open winny- opened this issue 7 years ago • 3 comments

When I add another monitor or remove a monitor from my screen configuration (with --output <OUTPUT> --auto or --output <OUTPUT> --off), xbanish doesn't appear to hide the mouse cursor anymore.

I'm interested in fixing this (if nobody else is  ), so anybody who has a few ideas about this please comment.

xbanish works fine for me when when (dis)connecting a monitor on my laptop, and running xrandr.

If I disconnect a monitor, xbanish continues working fine if the cursor was on laptop screen. But if the cursor was on the monitor that got disconnected, sometimes the cursor stays invisible (but still functions, evidenced by hover effects on UIs and being able to click). But sometimes it results in Xorg taking tons of CPU and having to hard reboot. On Pop!_OS 20.04.
