Possibility to not close/clear the search results when the input loses focus?

In the design I was requested, I make a custom place where the results show up.

But thing is, I'm stuck with the default way the ajax search works: if you unfocus the input that has searchwp-live-ajax-search, the search results are cleared.

Is there a way to prevent that?
