Was GPLv3 a conscious choice?
GPLv2 was sort-of corporation-hostile, but GPLv3 is very corporation-hostile.
I'm not sure how familiar you are with open-source vs. free software, and how greatly they differ. Perhaps you are very aware, and you've made the conscious decision to license this code as GPLv3. On the other hand, it's possible that you don't know much about licenses and chose this one at random — I have no idea; I'm not judging.
Anyway, I'd be interested in understanding the license choice — even if I can't use this software because of it.
Thanks! :)
hi @skyzyx
To be honest it was but by that moment my thoughts about open source were naive whereas now (with some more experience) I think differently.
Anyways, if it is urgent for you I could change it to MIT but soon DataDog is going to release an official DD Trace for PHP so I will deprecate this.
