Moving repositories (attic repos) to another volume - safe?

Open mwtorkowski opened this issue 7 years ago • 4 comments

Hi,

Is it safe to move attic repos to another volume? We've started using attic long time ago and now as the size of the repos increases I'd like them moved to bigger volume, just wonder if that's safe to do?

I don't see a problem, it should work. Likely you will get a warning about the changed repo location when you first access it. But after answering that AND completing the operation, it should work normally.

BTW, have a look at borgbackup, we fixed a lot of bugs in attic and added some nice features.

Thanks! I already put borg on our roadmap, I just hope migration will be painless!

Is attic dead or going away?

As good as dead, I'd say. The last commit was in 2015...
