i thought it did time out. the jkbms code needs work, i'll try to find the error and fix it
Seems like you could achieve something with a specific output module, i.e - command to query BMS - gets needed results - outputs formated result to Inverter this type of...
Im not really familiar with windows - essentially above you are not getting a response (it is timing out) Windows has different formats - maybe try "\r\n" instead of "\n"...
to help troubleshooting please add the debug flag `-D` to the command and post the output

looks like no prebuilt binary for your system - you will need to build cysystemd from sources - see https://pypi.org/project/cysystemd/#toc-entry-3
protocols jk02, jk04 and jkv11 are for bluetooth connections and arent applicable to serial connections try jkserial, jk232 or jk485
if you are still interested, first update to version 0.16.22+ anf then try: `mppsolar -p /dev/ttyUSB0 -P jkserial -D` and post the results - this will allow me to diagnose
