Tricky to do this reliably. Maybe you can use the "Only back up certain groups" feature to do something similar?

@kurahaupo you mean in the Gmail account settings? For enabling IMAP, the URL seems to be https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/fwdandpop

maybe `confirmed`? repo cases are difficult in general, some of the bugs are very dependent on a specific version of Android, a particular carrier etc. Especially the backup reliability related...
