Hi. I'm the maintainer of mongoosastic. It's been a while since I last used elastic. I can't find the time to keep up with mongoose releases, elastic versions and new issues.

I'm here to ask you @jbdemonte as owner and the community of this project are willing to join forces on a single project to better suite the users of both plugins.

I'm open to accept full rewrites if it's needed to merge both plugins.

Do you like the idea? Give it a though an let me know what you think.

Hi Gustavo,

I guess I'm having the same time issues that you have.

That's why, I did not spent time on my public project for a while :(

I'll be pleased to help, but I'll not be able to lead, no enough time, sorry

Maybe @nodkz should be ok.

IMO, it should be rewrite using typescript

JB

Any time you have, combined, would be more than splitted in separate projects. Although I totally understand what you are saying.

Still, here is what I offer for both (you and @nodkz) if you are willing to go with it:

  • Admin access to mongoosastic org and its repo(s).
  • Admin access to NPM updates (although it should be automated somehow)
  • Full capability to decide next steps for mongoosastic (being new features, rewrites, or anything)
  • (optionally) move mongoose-elasticsearch-xp to mongoosastic org if you want.

The conditions, are simple IMO. Keep the main development under mongoosastic name and that's it. No requirements on time spent on it or nothing like that. I just wish the users of the plugin are not unanswered when an issue comes up.

Thanks for your interest, and hope to hear @nodkz thoughs too.
