On centos 8 stream it fails

This fails msrsync -p32 --rsync "-avzh --numeric-ids" /var/lib/mysql/* . Source '/var/lib/mysql/aria_log.00000001' is not a directory

but this works rsync -avzh --numeric-ids /var/lib/mysql/* .

Could you try without “*” ?
