https://github.com/eduardoboucas/staticman/issues/30 added markdown 'post' support, which seems to be a bit broken atm, but should do what we want.

Another option is netlify CMS, or netlify forms with https://gitlab.com/blazeu/gitlab-submission

Another example is IPython notebooks, which contain e.g. python code. See our `PEP8NotebookBear` for example.
