Stops playing after ~30 minutes
For longer mixes (hour-long), this is super annoying. The media stops playing suddenly, causing Kodi to lose its place in the mix. I'm pretty sure this is not a connection problem. Are there logs I can look at to help debug this one?
@chuckhacker This was already reported in #19. I thought that I fixed it.
Which audio format have you selected in your plugin settings?
So there's no way to refresh the session mid-playback?
So there's no way to refresh the session mid-playback?
As I explained in https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=346347, there is no easy way to fix this, since SoundCloud violates the HLS specification with their session timeouts.
I think it would be possible to refresh the session mid-playback, but there would be an audible pause, since the HLS stream has to be stopped and started again (in order to get a new session).
The only workaround for now is to use the mp3 (progressive)
audio format.
Oh, that's what's happening! I noticed the playback stops. But I just kept working. After a while it just starts up again. Over and over. My wife even came to ask me what's going on with the music that's starting and stopping at long intervals. :-D

Hi @jaylinski I do not thing that changing mp3 (progressive) as audio format solves anything. I am constantly experiencing this drop outs. using 4.0.2 btw.

@pjotruk Every 30 minutes or more often?
@jaylinski Approx. every 20 minutes.
I went through ~/.kodi/temp/kodi.log . Playback stopped at 12:14. So if you want to dig into logs, you can do it here: https://paste.kodi.tv/ifajifapuh.kodi
